Rehearsals are Mondays 5:30-7:30pm at the Point Loma/Hervey Family Library
Rehearsal Information:
- Rehearsals start promptly at 5:30pm. Please join in quietly if you are late. Since the library is now closed on Mondays, please enter through the side door as that's the only way in, and to help set up chairs if you arrive early
- Don't forget to sign the register when you arrive
- We welcome new members, especially tenors and basses, so please get the word out and bring along your friends and neighbors
- After warm-ups, our Artistic Director, Sarah Suhonen, takes us through pieces we're working on. Please pay close attention, and ask questions if you need clarification. Write only in pencil and lightly on the music, but do make notes as needed
- At about 6:30pm we break for snacks and announcements for about 10 minutes. Please find your seat quickly after the break
- Updated concerts, call times, and carpooling information will be announced here, at rehearsals and via e-mail. Please make sure your e-mail address is always updated with our Membership Chair
Women - Uniforms are available for purchase (at a reduced cost). They consist of a black top and either a long black skirt or black loose pants. Only these uniforms may be worn at our main concerts. Occasionally we will have an outdoor or casual concert when other attire is allowed -- those will be clearly announced.
Men - Black slacks, white tuxedo shirts, black vest, bow ties, black shoes and socks. Men may also be allowed to dress more casually at some concerts.
Announcements of any additional social activities, trips to concerts, informal gatherings, will be made at rehearsals and via e-mail. Generally families and invited friends are allowed to attend.
The Board of Directors for Peninsula Singers consists of dedicated and committed members of the choir.
