WE WELCOME SINGERS OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES

If you enjoy singing and enjoy people, then Peninsula Singers is for you.

Your level of musical ability doesn't matter - we have people with years of singing experience and wide musical knowledge, and people who have never sung in a concert before or who can't read music.

Enthusiasm for choral music, a willingness to do a bit of homework to learn your notes when necessary, and availability to attend (most) rehearsals are all it takes.

Rehearsal Information
Rehearsals take place on Monday nights at the Point Loma/Hervey Branch Library on Point Loma [map], 3701 Voltaire Street, San Diego, between 5:30 and 7:30pm.

We begin each rehearsal with warm-up vocalizing. After the warm-up, Sarah Suhonen, our Artistic Director, will take us through the various pieces of music we’re working on for the semester.

At approximately 6:30 we take a short break for announcements and snacks. Different members volunteer to bring snack items and water each week.

Concert schedules, call times, and carpooling information will be announced at the rehearsals and will be updated on the website. Occasionally announcements of any additional social activities and section rehearsals will also be made.

No Audition Necessary
If you would like to join us, you need to start within the first few weeks of the season. No need to contact us, just come along to a rehearsal.

Additional Information
Choir membership is $60.00 semi-annually.  This goes to cover the cost of  sheet music, our paid professional staff, marketing materials and other expenses.
